NI-Damascus is a Dutch Foundation which is administrated by Leiden
University and financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture
and Science, the University of Amsterdam and Leiden University. The
board of NI-Damascus consists of the members of the University
Executive Board, and the director of the ICS Expertise Centre, of
Leiden University. NI-Damascus is located in Damascus and operates
in Syria under the supervision of the Syrian Ministry of Culture, on the basis of a contract between the Ministry
of Higher Education and
Leiden University.
